Blogging for Darfur

Today, people have united to blog on one subject: Darfur. Our current admin feels the best way to solve problems is to bomb Iraq. Killing innocent women and children, forcing men to choose which military group to join, as the only means left to feed their families, seems much better, in their eyes, than forcing US citizens to conserve oil; perhaps even offering incentives via tax breaks for those who install solar panels in their homes to start lessening our nation's dependency on fossil fuels. Hey, once the oil is gone, it is gone, no getting it back.

In the meantime, the current admin turns a deaf ear on the citizens of Darfur to send some aid in the form of military assisstance to stop the rapes, murders and basic genocide on the people. Makes little sense to me and it also makes a lot of sense to me, to elect Senator Obama as the next Pres of the US of A.

Embedding this You Tube video has been disabled, but I urge you to watch it and make up your own mind, if the man makes sense.

In the meantime you can try to help the people in Darfur, by taking some action today. Write a letter, make a phone call or sing an online petition urging your elected officials to be the change we want to see in the world.
