Yes We (Still) Can

 I saw the title and downloaded the book Yes We (Still) Can by Dan Pfeiffer to Kindle. Did not know that this was published in 2018. Disappointed, because we learned that "no, we could not rid the nation of the failed biz guy, TV celebrity, crooked, corrupt, immoral #45.)

Dan wrote "I'm not sure we can survive 8 years" (of DJT.) Now, we shall see. Does not look too promising. He said he would use our military against our own citizens. He is sending troops to cities like D.C., Portland, Seattle, Memphis. He has started using the DOJ to  extract revenge on his perceived enemies. He has not ended the war in Ukraine in one day. 

The book is about "Politics in the Age of Obama, Twitter and Trump." It was depressing to read. Looking back, remembering and distraught that they put that man back in the White House. At my age, I might not be around to see the next presidential election. Not that there will be another one. A MAGA wrote on Yahoo article comments: Trump for King 2028.  They still love the Felon for a reason I can not comprehend. I guess he reflects them. Indecent, unintelligent, immoral, uncouth, childish, amoral. Too, too sad.

My next posts will be more quotes from this book along with my comments. 

ANTIFA

 So the Dumpster is naming the Antifa as a terrorist organization?

There is a Ku Klux Klan organization; a Proud Boys organization; Neo Nazi and Neo Confederate organizations; but no Antifa organization. Is Dump that dumb? Or just a ploy; selling a lie to his gullible MAGAS?

Everyone who calls themselves a patriotic American would be anti-fascism.  But the fascist in the White House needs to declare people who want to fight fascism in the U.S. of A. must be made the enemy of the state.

He campaigned on ending the war in Ukraine in one day; the "no wars president" (which was another lie) then renames the Department of Defense, the Dept. of War? Makes me sad that people I know fell for his B.S. 

Bystanders

That reminds me of the big todo when Jeremiah Wright said "the chickens have come home to roost."

In electing Dump again, it appears humanity wants to be defined by hatred and killing.

November 2024...

 ...after the fools elected the Felon, I quit Amazon. I got rid of my Cable connection. They asked why, I lied. Why did I not tell the truth? Do not trust The Felon, his sidekick, GOP Congress, stacked GOP Supreme Court. Might lose Social Security of Medicare benefits. End up Homeless again. Older, infirm, leaving in cold east coast? 

I would use the building Wi-Fi. Like my daughter advised me when building got it; too slow, too many people using it. Some days it will not load anything on my computer. I am typing this on apartment complex computer in the "Computer Lab."

I stopped reading/commenting on Yahoo news articles. I was at BlueSky for a short time. Got too depressing and why did they have to show his face multiple times a day?

A hassle trying to get signed in to My Blogger blogs. Still have my log in info from before Google bought it. Can not find a Google Chrome login info. Hope next time I come down to see if I want to keep anything from this Blog, I will be able to remember how I got here today.

I went to Gmail; and they wanted me to prove who I was. I am not Ed Beers; no option to use another account. I know know that neighbor who uses this same computer, Ed, was born the same year I graduated from high school. I remove my presence from these public computers. There are 8 computers, but I prefer this one in the corner, due to my walker. I guess that is why Ed favors it also; to stash walker to the side. 

I do miss my cable connection. But I am getting more housework done. And now, getting rid of my Homeless in Long Beach story.

 After January 20th we will no longer have a POTUS  ~ it will be Felon of the United States, Ie: FOTUS.7 million citizens voted for that?

Space Force

 Did we really need a Space Force? Even tho' the Felon-elect was not sworn in yet, he is creating a new department headed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, Department of Government Efficiency. My  understanding is that Congress needs to approve new Departments; yet much press about "DOGE." They could start by disbanding Dump's Space Force.

The U.S. Space Force's $30 billion budget request for Fiscal Year 2024 is about $3.9 billion over what was enacted for the service in FY2023. More than 60% of the Space Force budget, about $19.2 billion worth, is aimed at research, development, testing and evaluation.

He wanted to be the "no war president," yet prepares for Star Wars? 2025: will invade Greenland and/or Panama to get what he wants. Sigh.

I guess I answered my own query about why anyone would consider the Felon-elect to be qualified to be president. Again. 

Election 2028

 The Felon has not been sworn into office yet, and they are talking about Election 2028. Dump suggested his son, Don, Jr. run for office, starting a Dump dynasty. Because he is so qualified? Maybe if Dump wants a dynasty, he and family should sell Trump, Org, new owners rename it. 

Lara Trump's saying Democrats are doing everything they can to thwart the will of the people, and the November 5th manate. LIke Kamala Harris' supporters stormed the capitol, attacked guards, broke into the building trashing it, after she held a "stop the steal rally?" 

A family of liars? Or a delusional family? WTF?

There's No Love Left

On November 7, 2025, I posted "World Without Love," by Bobby Rydell. I happened upon "There's No Love Left" by the Isley Brothers, at You Tube a minute ago. It was a B-side of 45RPM. I always listened to B-sides. This is the only one I listened to over and over again; most got one play and done. 

Do not know why I related to those two tunes as a teen. I did not have any boyfriends or love life back then. Perhaps a reflection on the state of the world? Reading comments on a Never Trumper short, hate from MAWAs is strong (and lies) and truly mocks the song of "peace on earth goodwill to men." 

2025

 Day one 2025, a man drove a truck into crowd at New Orleans, killing ten, wounding others. 

Dump wrote:

The man is a U.S. born/raised citizen. FOX news retracted a statement that the man's truck was seen entering the US from a border checkpoint "two days ago." Perhaps DJT first heard about the incident from FOX? M.T. Greene repeated FOX's lie. 

Hello 2025! Facts show that it is true, homegrown citizens commit more crimes than immigrants, legal or not. MAGAS were quick to criticize President Biden and praise trump for quick response to the tragedy. I guess FOX did not tell them that Joe contacted New Orleans mayor, and issued a White House statement before dump posted his lie. 

Crime increased during his years in office; crime has steadily decreased under Biden's admin. But to dump it is "never seen before." So sad MAWAS put him back in the Oval Office. 

Paused

 Easily distracted from my goals, paused dumping my saved #45 comments. Not that anyone reads this, but did not want so many new posts daily. So take breaks. One day I got an e-mail that someone followed me on SubStack. What is Substack? Seems one of this Blogs posts is what caused the lady to follow me. How it got on SubStack, I do not know. 

Between SubStack and Bluesky, I get distracted and add something to this blog, pausing my goal of moving all documents here. Will make that my New Year's goal to finish up this project. 

Garbage

I will never understand how he got elected again. I was hoping for sanity.

Lynching postcards

 People who buy Dump's mugshot merchandise, are like those people who bought lynching postcards. Dump would be like the men who took the photos, published and sold them as postcards. The postcards often had racist text and poems along with the victim of the lynching. 

There may have been other celebrity presidents, before Reagan; but Dump is hero worship of a villain. Does this make America great again?
