Kristan Hawkins

Kristan Hawkins was 23 when she started her quest to end abortions in the U.S. of A.

She slept in her office, took showers at Gold's gym, wore an eye mask at night, left the lights on in an effort to keep cockroaches away.

I stopped reading the long BBC article on this woman who decided it was fine to give states the right to deny liberty to females.

At 23 what did she know about stillborn babies? I knew, because my mother had what she called a "born dead" baby, an older sister's twins, since childhood. I never thought about how it would feel to carry a fetus to term, only to have a stillborn baby.

I read a story from a woman who choose to deliver the baby, knowing it had died in the womb. She & hubby wanted to hold a funeral, and celebrate the life that may have been.

Hawkins, also probably is not aware of ectopic pregnancies. I was not, until a sister-in-law suffered two of them. There are other reasons a female  might opt doctor assisted termination of pregnancy. It is a personal matter between the woman, her physician, and possibly a god.

Kristian's crusade, means, in today's world, females like my sister-in-law, could be arrested, imprisoned, if a physician tries to save the pregnancy, and it ends up aborting. She & doc might avoid jail, proving that it was not intentional.

But why should any woman have to prove a miscarriage was not a doctor assisted pregnancy termination?

Another Roe v Wade casualty

Another Roe v Wade overturn casualty happened to a Facebook game friend. She shared this article to explain why her arthritis medicine was suddenly changed.  The newly prescribed medication may cause her unwanted side effects.

The article mentions ectopic pregnancies. I mentioned them in many comments on a Facebook article earlier this afternoon. Why bother? A waste of time trying to educate people as to possible reasons a woman chooses a doctor assisted early pregnancy termination.

Point Guard

Point Guard made a valid point:

the conundrum here is that if you do allow abortion only in the case of rape then you are a hypocrite. if you believe it's murder then rape doesn't change your belief. that's why abortion should be each woman's right to choose.

In the beginning they called themselves "anti-abortionist" ~ I believe they changed it to "pro life" to mimic  Pro-Choice or sound more positive. Walk a mile in an eleven-year-old pregnant by rape child's shoes. How could anyone think they have the right to make her choice to continue the pregnancy for her?

No one has the right to make choices for a pregnant female other than her own self. Planned Parenthood councils the pregnant girl to consider her religion, does she have strong personal or religious beliefs regarding abortion. They encourage the girls to think about the future, to take the decision seriously.

If one truly believes one can murder a fertilized egg, then they should not allow exceptions for saving the pregnant woman's life such as in an  ectopic pregnancy. Left untreated that pregnancy could erupt the fallopian tube, surely killing the fetus and possibly the woman as well.

The Federal Government should protect a woman's right to make her own choices; liberty, freedom of choice is hogwash if it only extends to males. People do not know the reason a stranger living 3,000 miles away from them is describing a doctor assisted early termination of pregnancy, so need to Mind. Their. Own. Business.

Ectopic pregnancy

A friend really wanted to have a baby. When she finally became pregnant, it was discovered that the embryo was planted in her womb. A doctor tried to save the pregnancy by moving the embryo to the womb where it belonged. This resulted in a miscarriage.

Sadly it happened a second time.

Under Texas (and other state) law, the physician could go to jail for performing the surgery. Highly unlikely that the abnormal pregnancy would be discovered prior to the 6 week ban on early termination of pregnancies, ie: abortion.

Most often ectopic pregnancies abort themselves. If the embryo is allowed to grow into fetus size, it could result in death of both mother and fetus.

I was pregnant 3 times and gave birth to 3 babies. I am 100% for a woman's right to choose what to do with her pregnancy. It is no one's business except her own what she does. Her life is 100% more important than "potential life."
