I would love to ask Brian where he got his statistics. My searches were futile. The best I could find said 27.4% of U.S. births out of a 100,000 result in death. I am not a mathematician; maybe Brian is. Maybe he figured out how many females in the United States get pregnant each year, and found the percentage that way?
