There was a time I considered getting a pistol, because, if government took away our right to own guns, than only the police would have guns.

I doubt that I knew that was GOP propaganda, nor would I have known that it was GOP saying it would be done by Democrats. I once was a registered Democrat. Now: Green or Independent. No, Democrats are not coming for your guns.

I visualized scenarios and decided I would rather be killed than kill. It was during President Obama's admin when he explained about assault weapons. I slept through Clintons 10 year ban of assault weapons and quick loading ammo. Due to mass shootings, many done with AR-15s and other military style weapons designed to quickly shoot many, I support bans on those weapons of mass murders of strangers.

I in favor of sensible gun laws. Nationwide database, for one. When I read The Secret Sales Pitch it was concerning salespeople. A locksmith (in today's world doorbell ring) salesperson states stats regarding local area burglaries. Cite rise of car thefts; sell The Club or car alarms. 

"Hurry supplies limited!" "Order now, only 5 left." I have checked some of those ads. Usually from badly reviewed, obscure company. Often a newly created company. Creating urgency is a oft used sales tactic. It creates the fear that the home you want to make an offer on will be gone if you take time to think it over. 

Trump effectively uses those tactics. "Weaponized DOJ" "need to get rid of cancer NOW." Cancer being DOJ and Democrats. "Or you won't have a country left anymore." 

Fight like hell! And they did; they lost, and yet the country is still here. He continues to do so, and his fans buy it. Too sad. 

Anthony Puma ~ if he could turn back time

 50-year-old Anthony Puma says if he could turn back time, he would have stayed home of J6. Do not we all wish we could turn back time before making an awful mistake.

Prior to J6, he posted a plan for action:

“On the 6th when we are all there in the capital [sic] and he is givin [sic] his second term the people will see. Then you never know we might have to start killing some commie bastards. #stopthestea"

He claims he should not be held accountable because Trump tricked him. He did not believe trump would "not steer him down an illegal path." Wait a minute, mawas claim trump did not incite a riot ~ just a peaceful, tourist, sightseeing tour lead by guards.

 So why did Puma scale a wall, enter through a broken window, then ask other rioters in Sen. Jeff Merkley's office if he could join them in smoking pot. Did trump trick him into smoking pot inside a government building? 

I wonder if he knew that trump's father-in-law is a card carrying Communist? Melania's dad might not practice Communism, so why not burn his card and pledge allegiance to the United States of America. Rhetorical question. 

Puma's lawyers says he has suffered enough. He recorded that "we were tear gassed," they went back and were "pepper sprayed," and went back to get inside the building. Did trump announce "leave, the building is closed, go home?" No he let them continue the melee for over 3 hours then told them "we love you, you are special." 

Attack guards, do damage, obstruct Congress? Why is trump running for pres again. He loves people who attack the "blue," break & enter, do damage, and obstruct Congress? Insanity. 

Caught up in the maelstrom

 Geoffrey Sills. 31, of Mechanicsville, Virginia did not go to D. C. wearing gas mask, and  goggles, intending to be violent. He was dressed for protection from terrorists. Oh, my, if a foreign government flew planes into D.C. buildings, the mask and goggles would offer little or no protection.

When he threw pole-like objects at guards, stole one of their batons assaulting at least two guards, it was simply because he got caught up in the maelstrom. 

Well, gee whiz, if a bunch of mawas were jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge at trump's instruction, would he have done so, also? I thought these mawas were all for law and order, obeying officers of the law, Blue Lives Matter & personal responsibility. 

I used to loathe my mother asking me "if your friends jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge..." ~ I was complaining about having to do dishes or not being allowed to carry baby bro' yet friend was; likewise younger cousin. Older, my friends offered me cigarettes. I turned them down. 

I was horrified when my older brother followed the crowd walking over a downed wire fence to get closer to stage to see Dylan perform. I stayed behind, keeping an eye on him, as he was the driver. Caught up in the maelstrom, my arse.

Wild-eyed, split-flecked sounds like M.T. Greene to me, although I never heard the phrase "spit-flecked." Seems it is not in the dictionary. Closed meaning is spittle-flecked ~ when one is so angry, shouting causes spit to exit the mouth. 

Trump routinely called for annihilation of his perceived enemies. He is a man of zero principles; does anything to 'save' himself. "I take no responsibility at all." His grandiose ego might come from being insecure. Or from being indulged and spoiled as a child. His lonely childhood may have created fantasies seeing himself as an astronaut, cowboy gunslinger, boxer, and firefighter. 

What he could not achieve in real life, he achieved by selling 8" digital pictures of himself dressed up as his fantasy self. Envy, bitter, aptly describes Trump to a T.

A man of no principles who had uncanny ability to sell his lies and gain loyalty. His MAWAs willing to break laws to keep him in power illegally. That is the most dangerous type of person to hold power.

Most of the comments thought Chadwick Clifton's sentence of 21 days in jail, was too light. His sentence also included  "90 days home detention, three years’ probation and pay $1,000 in fines." His charge was for  “parading, demonstrating or picketing," because he knew he was not supposed to be inside the building due to certifying election results. 

I think the sentence is fair.

When you listen to Trump accuse others, it shows he is guilty of what he claims they  do. My ex-husband did that to me, which is what caused me to see it in Trump. 

Dead People Do Vote

Dead people do vote, who knew? 

Going back to 2015 Trump's claims of  dead people voting;  “people that have died 10 years ago are still voting;" I used to make jokes about vampires. Back then I was still going to polling places, had to show my Voter ID card, sign the roster. 

My mother was still alive, bedridden with dementia. Could I have traveled to her town to vote using her ID? Maybe, but some places where I have voted wanted to see DL as proof that I was the same person using the Voter ID card. 

I imagined that people who had died recently might still be on rosters, but did not imagine that many would used the deceased parents ID cards. Those that do have been caught when signatures are compared. A few:

Krista Michelle Connor ~ voted using recently deceased mother's ballot,

Happy BIrthday

 I truly do not like to say happy birthday to deceased people. "Happy birthday in heaven, Dad (mom, dog, grandma.") Google will often say it is someone's 150th birthday. I could go for 150 days ago so & do was born, or the anniversary of someone's birth. Do people age once their bodies die? I do not know. 

Yet I listened to Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday song many times yesterday. You Tube sidebar had "greatest speeches" ~ "nothing to fear but fear itself,." "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for our country," "yes, we can."

I liked Al Gore's concession speech. Some peeps liked Bush's 911 speech, I thought he looked silly standing on pile of rubble with arm around fire fighters neck, big smiles on his face. Was he happy jet planes flew into tall buildings? FDR, Truman, Nixon, did not impress me much. 

I shared the speech video on my Facebook page. Along with I Have A Dream song by Common from Freedom Writers Diary. Upbeat song. Yet missing Long Beach. I drove past that school many times. Later walked past it on the way to a park. I would walk to MLK Jr celebration at another park in LBC.  This year, after trip to get blood test, shopping, lunch with daughter, home alone the rest of the day.

Did not check to see where Allentown Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebrations were being held. I would not be able to get there on my own power anyway. (Maybe someday I will try Uber or find taxi cab #.) Too cold and dreary/rainy out. I guess it was raining in sunny So Cal Long Beach. I did not check out stories about those celebrations.

MAWA Marches

 Too bad I am not going to comment on Yahoo articles anymore. I was posting notes from Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy, Jamie Raskin's book. He wrote about 11/14/2020 and 12/20/2020 MAWA marches that turned violent. 

People comment about BLM burning down cities, but no mention of Proud Boys setting a black congregations church on fireI do not remember those two events. I do not watch TV news, just check headlines, so may have missed it. I did not read much about BLM protests either. Maybe I was just playing Facebook games? 

Oh, wait, 2020 was when I was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. I was hospitalized twice that year. Spent an entire month in hospital and nursing home for rehab. Came home to massive bedbug infestation. COVID Apt. complex no longer a polling place. TY for mail-in ballots. I guess I was not paying much attention to news.

I was vaguely aware of Proud Boys starting violence at peaceful BLM protests. And of "antifa" showing up to fight with MAWAs at their protests or rallies. And quite award of trumps photo op in front of a church holding Bible upside down. Notice how quick he was to call out National Guard on peaceful protesters, but not at all when it was his violent mob attacking Congress.

George Santos COVID lie

Reported that George Santos said: "Unfortunately on the 9th of March I became symptomatic with what we all know now very well, COVID-19 a.k.a coronavirus, commonly known as the Chinese flu. On the 11th I ended up in the hospital. It was really bad, fever, body aches."

"So, I'm free, coronavirus free, so they're calling me a survivor, I don't know if I really survived anything. It's just flu."

He also claimed he had hallucinations. He is trying to sound like his hero DJT, except I think he called it "the China flu."

So I did, The majority of the comments basically poking fun at Santos. I liked: next he will be claiming he kilt a bear when he was only three. Some likened him to Biden and Democrats. george534 wrote a long, no white space, comment that sounded like an alternate fact conspiracy theory to me. Then commented on his own comment:

It's why Trump held his covid meetings in high-security meeting rooms, the so-called "Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility" usually reserved for intelligence and military operations. This is the big secret the US is hiding about covid.

Okay if it is a big secret how come george534 knows so much about it? Was he in the "high-security meeting rooms?" Maybe George is George Santos and joined trump in the "Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility?"

Was that a room located at Mar-a-Lago, or other golf club facility? I do not recall trump doing much other travel, other than to hold rallies. Maybe the "big secret" was recorded on one of the documents he kept? 

Can always tell when a poster is a gaga MAWA. The article is political, it is not news, left leaning propaganda, and so on. Not a word about George Santos latest lie. 

The best comment was the one that said he should be removed from office. I agree, I do not want a man that is just blathering GOP lines voting on bills that will affect all U.S. citizens. We already have enough Liar -in-Chief loyalists in Congress keeping his lies alive. We do not need more. 

SoThis Is Christmas

 Texas Governor Abbott bussed asylum seekers to D.C. dumping them in frigid temperatures outside V.P. Kamela Harris' residence. 

Yahoo held everyone of my comments for approval. MAWAs out in full force making ugly, rude comments about President Biden and our V.P.

I can not mention "give us your tired, your hungry, your poor." One comment I questioned if there are no Christian churches in Texas.Then I tried Christian houses of worship. Yahoo tells me they hold comments for approval; do not take it personally.

Well damn it, I do take it personally. They can say any nasty ole thing they want about Biden, and others who comment, yet I am not allowed to say most anything. I felt like posting a cuss laden post, starting with Duck You Yahoo. It is too sad, that the ugliest comments were getting 131+ likes. 

The clairvoyant effectively indoctrinated masses of citizens. So much false info, misspelled words, slurs, personal attacks. 

I was enjoying doing a jigsaw puzzle when an overwhelming urge to smoke came upon me. I guess back before COVID when smoking was a daily habit, when I got stuck doing puzzles, I would go outside and have a smoke. Years earlier, when I lived in places where I could smoke indoors, I would light up, to help me think while writing. 

I read a how to quit smoking book and it claims that a cigarette does not actually help us to think better. Nor does it calm us down. I do not know. I think breathing in and out while smoking is as relaxing as meditative breathing. 

"We are a Christian nation," barf. Maybe no MAWAs are Christians, but GOP sure favors them over secular citizens. 

Serving Two Masters

 Surprisingly I do not recall the day I simply stopped going to church. I studied some world religions. I never found one to satisfy me. Then I did what Jesus said, threw away my Bibles. "You can not serve two masters, love the one and hate the other." I liked the illusion of electing government officials.

I did not actually serve the one and hate the other.  It was freeing, no longer trying to come to terms with a Santa, pagan traditions Xmas and a birth of Jesus one. I chose the American Holiday. Even "serving" that did not thrill me. Materialism.

Children with poor parents did not get treated with equality by Santa. Their wealthy classmate got the Flexible Flyer and they got new mittens and knit cap. It teaches kids greed. It does not actually teach them to be good for goodness sake, anymore that the Bible gets adults to be good.

It teaches them they will get a momentary reward for being good, not a lesson that being kinds, is, well good.

I read long ago about Jesus maybe not being white. Makes sense to me unless the holy spirit was an ET with white skin. St. Nicholas was not white either. Some posted on the article that as children they asked why Jesus looked white and not Arab. I was clueless as to world geography in relation to Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Red Sea=Moses parted it.

I wonder if that is like now, Mississippi river drying up, river bed dry, so peeps an walk to an island, that used to have to boat to. Maybe there was a severe drought, the sea dried up and parted and legend had it that Moses did it in one day.

My big turn off was this: why send me to hell for eternity because I smoked? No longer being Catholic, I could not confess other sins to be a priest, do penance, and be forgiven, still getting my shot at heaven.

What kind of cruel God is that? Eternity? Let the punishment fit the crime. Maybe Hitler deserves a long time in hell, DJT, also, but Bill Clinton maybe not so much? I think we have our own hell on earth. No need for an eternity burning up in hellfire. Jesus' skin color irrelevant. If he actually existed at all.

He touts his cards as depicting his life and career. He was an astronaut when? In his boyhood fantasies perhaps? He does golf. I guess the golf card is showing a much younger, slimmer version of his self. Superhero? Super Fool. Super Liar. Super Crazy. 

He has long wanted his head on Mt. Rushmore. Lady Liberty cried the day he was elected. Why hold the torch? He does not agree with sentiment "give me your tired, your hungry, your poor."
