20,147 comments, 93 typing on Yahoo shared People magazine article about Tucker Carlson and FOX parting ways. Up to 109 typing, since I wrote this.

Will commented: Fake news. He will be on tonight.

Lulu posted: Conservatives should get together and syndicate a news site. TruthNews.

Someone commented: Does anyone want to tell her?

Comments were from people doing happy dances. Others suggested a show featuring Don Lemon and Carlson. Mawas blaming Democrats, some insisting 2020 election was rigged or stolen from djt. The only one who tried to rig and steal that election was trump.  A few local elections, the candidates also failed their fraud attempts, that year.

21,1116 comments, 253+ typing, in the amount of time it took me to write this. Hot topic; everyone wants to be heard. Who has time to scroll 21,219 comments, lol.

Salon article on trump

Some comments on a Salon article written by Gabriella Ferrigine:

"I appreciate what he did and was pleasantly surprised by how conservative he was and how he kept his promises," Randy Marquardt said. "But there is just something about him that ignites the other side. It can't be overcome."

David Sherwood: "I don't think Trump can win because he has too much baggage. He has good policies, but an abrasive personality."

Cyndi Tendick:  indictment is "a bunch of B.S."

Kevin Welch said he would vote for Trump again in 2024, however, because he dislikes Biden even more.

Long title about normal people being repulsed by trump after the indictment; Independent voters recoil.

LOL What is normal to one, is abnormal to another? Decent, seems to me, decent people should have been repulsed by his childish, vulgar, rants in 2016, not lowering the bar by putting him in the White House?

Of course those who hated President Obama due to skin color clustered around the loud mouth Birther. They found their leader.

White in front of you

Keepingitreal changed the Bud Lite subject:

"Twice, both Greene & Boebert, during the State of the Union, yelled out to the President that he was a liar and repeatedly interrupted and heckled him.
Why didn’t Republicans vote to expel them both, like they did to two African Americans in Tennessee?"

Pine replied:
George Santos told them not to and he seems to be the up-and-coming standard bearer of the Republican party.

Countrygirl:

I think the answer is plainly obvious.

Tired:

The answer is White there in front of you!

Bud Lite

I did not read articles about Kid Rock shooting cans of Bud Lite. Read article about M. T. Greene who tweeted:

"I would have bought the king of beers, but it changed its gender to queen of beers." Her tweet included a photo of Coors Lite in trunk of her car. Alongside of Easter basket and what looked to be bags of Easter candy. I wonder if she is putting cans of beer in kiddie's baskets?

As if a beer can change its name. Along with loss of "M & M sexy go-go boots", I guess GOP now attacking company slogans. Maybe she and Kid will start a campaign to shoot Clydesdales now?

Twitter users were quick to point out that Coors Lite has been a long time advocate for LGBT.  Some posted images of Coors Pride print ads.

FabricatorGeneral wrote on the Newsweek article comment section:

"Republicans always run with reflexive, emotional reactions without actually thinking things through.  It's their entire brand: latch on to the anger that pops up whenever you see something you don't like and indulge it to an illogical extreme.

Remember that time they went out and bought Keurigs and Nikes only to film themselves destroying them...not recognizing that those companies had already gotten their money so they wouldn't care about what they did with their products?"

MWM is "laughing at the idea that Bud Light and Coors Light are 'beer'."

Bias?

Florida Today Letters to the Editor shared at Yahoo news comment:from Martin:

"let's gat the facts straight. these are not readers. they are democrats whining. you don't win a state in a landslide and the media always posts democrat complaining."

Is "gat" a new pronunciation of "get?" I wonder if Martin even read the Letters? The first long letter was praising an author for opinion piece written by a former NYC teacher with educator husband. I do not know if Crosswinds is a political organization.

The Orange Man was about storage units being built in an area that used to be orange groves. The mascot was a a cartoon man with an Orange for his face. That writer mentioned " in a time before our rockets graced the heavens and before a certain rodent came to town," which I think meant DJT.

The next letter is about a sheriff and public schools. The writer does say Republicans are an embarrassment and need to work with Democrats. It goes on to criticize Biden and Kamela Harris. Might be an Independent or centralist voter.

A letter encouraging men to become guardian ad item, now that the name has been changed from GAL.

Next letter titled: Many Are Blind to Democrats "dual standards." LOL 'nuff said?

The next letter is a rant about George Santos. The writer ends bashing Democrats for this travesty in Congress.

Followed by a rant about President Biden.

The last explains why Florida is #1. Jack Ward, Melbourne states: "there is a socialist movement rather than a patriotic  movement in the Democrat party."

Jack also asserts "the cost to rent a U-Haul to come to Florida is double what it costs to leave.Soon U-Haul may pay Florida haters to leave in order to return their equipment." Jack does not like people from states like CA and NY and  "Mecca's of socialism."

If the paper is biased, it seems it would be more biased in favor of GOP.

Super Moron

Article comment:

Tom: You may not agree with him and he may be a complete jerk but he was actually pretty sharp. Biden can only read a teleprompter.

My replies

not sharp enuff to pronounce anonymous

*Tweeted he was en route “to address the Farm Convention today in Nashville, Tennessee.” The convention was in New Orleans, LA

*makes up words and countries (Premedication, covfefe, Nambia)

*"statics, some sa-tiks-tics coming out on.." (quite sharp)

*"YO-se-min-NIGHT."YO-se-MIGHT.."

*said he would "cut taxes big-league"

*the cyber

*"my generals and my military, they have decision-making ability."

* "Two Corinthians, 3:17, that's the whole ballgame."

*"We have some bad hombres here and we're going to get them out."

Asked simple question he rambles on about his very smart uncle, he told him nuclear was powerful, "who would have thought that" ~ he was 35 when this uncle taught him that? Most people know about Hiroshima, long before adulthood.

---

After his 90 second long run on sentence, the host had to ask him a 2nd time, because he did not answer the question.

---

“My uncle used to tell me about nuclear before nuclear was nuclear" and "He would tell me, ‘There are things that are happening that could be potentially so bad for the world in terms of weaponry."

---

Maybe he should have studied some U.S. history, learned about MAD and the Cold War before running for the highest office in the land.

---

I wonder how sharp those who voted for him were?

Asked what he would say to reassure citizens who are concerned about COVID, he said "I would say you are a very bad reporter."

---

Gee that was very reassuring. A sharper person might say something like, "It will disappear, like a miracle, gone by April." or "Just drink some bleach."

You Talk Too Much

You Talk Too Much is an old song by Joe Jones. I used to dedicate it to my now ex husband. We were to go on a double date with a co-worker. He asked if my husband talked. I said, "you can not get a word in edgewise."

After reading a headline: Will Trump Sink Herschel Walker, I am again reminded: they talk too much. They endlessly talk about coming elections; during elections; after elections. You know what theysay, if you don't have anything to say, never say it outloud.

We do talk too much, myself included. Article comments become a political forum. Can not call them debates. Insults, rude comments, distorted truth, whataboutism, deflection. Some will mention the number of Dislikes or comments by another poster.  That comment is aimed at a person gaga over Don the Con, or "baby killer" types.

A recent article about the mass shooting in a nightclub being called "gay club." Maybe lesbians are considered gay? Trans, bi? Because, it seems the club is a mixed crowd, not just homosexual males. I digress.

It did not take long for those commenting to turn it into a political debate: "people in PA voted for a vegetable", Joe Biden, DJT, Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, evil "baby killers." A few did offer sympathy for the deceased's loved ones. I am surprised they did not call the former First Lady, Michael.

My mother always told me, to keep your words, tender and sweet, for tomorrow you may have to eat them. She did not, really. I have not yet credited my father for saying: keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool; open it and remove all doubt.

Parents do use quotes, such as my mother saying "thou dost protest too much." My father was fond of saying: "fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice shame on you".

My latest is to reply to a rude, crude comment: "why you are pointing fingers, someone else is judging you," name that tune.

Response to Twitter comments

I do not do twitter. Even if I did, it is useless to reply to the cocksure stupid.

("The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.Z" Bertrand Russell.)

Kay B, duh. Did you know that a recently defeated GOP wannabe governor wanted to ban all abortions, because all abortions are murder? Protestors do not want individual states to deny liberty to citizens based on gender. Got that?

The others are bigots, men have sex with females of all shapes, sizes, ages (elderly and children,) who are they to judge a women's sex appeal. They also commented about education level. How is it possible to know if someone is a college student or not (the comments said, "not." from a video. Idiots. My daughter stresses being kind; Michelle Obama says when they go low, we go high. Apologize for expressing my true feelings, no matter how low or unkind.

Several jumped on some lengthy code, saying it is illegal to blah, blah, blah. I did not copy it. Others pointed out that the ladies were parading on public sidewalks, not standing in front of the Justice's house. They could be guilty of "trying to influence" a Justice. Justice's are more likely to be influenced by lobbyists like Ginny Thomas showering them with $$$$$$$$$. Barret is as uneducated and misogynists as the men who do not know about D & C's, non-viable pregnancies, and everything else I keep saying.

Castem Embers Saved $8 & KingFreak49

We read the book, we comprehend it. You know that old saw, first they came for...women's liberty, but I did not speak out, because I am not a women (or I am a Christian)...

We are aware of Hitler's tactics aped by #45. We are aware that they want to ban contraceptives next. LGBTs are still fighting for liberty guaranteed all citizens. Same Sex marriage is next on the GOP/Christian chopping block.

States are not allowed to make laws that violate Federal law. The Supreme Court just handed states the right to deny liberty to women. Women in Handmaid's tale were denied liberty. Get it, Castem Embers Saved $8 & KingFreak49?

Fetterman/Oz dream

Woke from a dream. Eyes closed I started replying to comments. The comments were short, in a row. I assume they were posted under a news article.

A: Fetterman banned pesticides.

B: Fetterman's ban on tree pesticides will mean orange toilet paper.

C: Oz is life affirming.

Too much time has passed to remember all the comments. Pro Fetterman, anti-Fetterman. Pro Oz, anti OZ. C above is the one that angered enough so that I wanted to sign in to leave my scathing reply to C.

Life affirming?!!! OZ wants to kill women. Life time prison terms; death penalty for doctors.  Truly I do not know if he said that; Mastriano did.

I amend my comment: allow women who have pregnancy complications to die. Mastriano and Oz think if you kill a fertilized egg, a blastocyst that has not yet attached to uterine wall, you are guilty of murder. What a tangled web they weave if they get elected.

A woman whose doctor assists on a pregnancy that aborted itself will need to prove it was not intentional? Already a woman was arrested when a nurse reported her for self-abortion. The charges were later dropped. Why do females need to be subjected to court to prove innocence?

Makes me sick. No wonder why I had trouble going back to sleep.

Was it a dream or did someone actually comment: "can not take away Medicare/Social Security within 4 or 5 days of getting elected." I think it was in the dream

Well, duh, that new senator or governor is going to be around longer than 3 or 4 days. They let Bush and Trump appoint a Supreme Court justice, but not President Obama. The GOP wanted to stack the court against Roe v Wade and succeeded. Now they are trying to stack Congress with anti Medicare/SS types.

And the arse spews more propaganda saying Democrats are playing games? Yeah, there may be people dumb enough to give bank info to pay a fee to collect the Mega Million Lottery they won. Even if they did not buy a ticket.

Freedom!

Ocean Commented on article about Schwarzenegger:
We believe in FREEDOM Democrats believe in FREE FREE followed by Elaine who said: You believe in free free for the rich and well connected. To which Ocean replied: No I dispise the Democrats and their cronies...these are the filthy rich in Ameirca spelling errors are as Ocean typed them. So, okay, Ocean which is it? Are they rich or want "free, free?" Actually Democrats do believe in Free-dom as much as many Republicans. Or maybe not, It is the GOP politicians that do not believe in women's right to liberty = Freedom of Choice. Nor do the citizens that vote for them. I almost want to log in to Yahoo, so I can mention that to Ocean. Can not reason with people that can not provide fact based comments; just parrot what they heard a politician or talk show host said.

Ailly Marjorie Taylor Green

Thank god for air conditioning. Let’s talk about refrigerators. I personally like my refrigerator. I know you all like yours. What about washing machines and dryers? Lord please God don’t make me scrub clothes in a bucket and have to hang them out on a line when we switch over to wind turbines and solar panels. I’m gonna be really pissed off about that. I mean, how absurd is this? I like the lights on. I wanna stay up later at night. I don’t wanna have to go to bed when the sun sets. It’s so silly! I mean, all of this is absolutely insane. ~ Marjorie Taylor Green

What is silly is Marjorie Taylor Green thinking wind turbines and solar panels will cause lights to go out after sunset. Maybe she is so wealthy she has new technology that allows her house lights to turn on automatically at sunset and go off at sunrise?

Personally I loved hanging clothes outdoors on a line. Saved on utility bills, but sheets smelled so lovely and fresh. Miss living in homes with backyards. Why oh why do such stupid people get elected! That is insane.

When peeps talked about dumbing down of America I did not know they meant it was those elected to represent us were the ones getting dumber and dumber.

I’ll be taking my hard-earned money to Waffle House or wherever we can smoke inside.”
  • “This comment section is further proof we need to focus more on mental health in this country and get more people into therapy for anger issues.”
