Emissions of ethylene oxide

Emissions of ethylene oxide have been linked to cancer. I considered joining a class action lawsuit targeting B.Braun plant in Allentown Pennsylvania as the gas has been known to cause lymphoma. 

Two years ago I was diagnosed (and treated) for Mantle Cell Lymphoma. The doctors do not know what caused it. I started having symptoms at least a year prior to being hospitalized with the terminal cancer. I lived in several Allentown locations after relocating to the East Coast several years ago. All being within 5 mile radius of that plant.

I did not inquire about my eligibility to join the lawsuit because I do not know how the lawyers can prove that my Lymphoma was caused by B. Braun e
missions of ethylene oxide.

I also did not want the hassle of gathering paperwork, and/or phone calls. 

And, I smoked cigarettes for most of my adult lifetime. Perhaps that caused the cancer? I think, maybe due to being forced to smoke outdoors everywhere, that I was deep breathing in the emissions of ethylene oxide, especially times when I walked many miles from DMV  to daughter's home or walk to/from other daughter's home to go to stores.

Several of my neighbors smoke outdoors daily, some more often than I did when I still smoked. To the best of my knowledge none of them have had cancer. Only one that I know of does much walking or being outdoors other than smoking. Several of them have cars and thus in and out of vehicles when shopping.  

Also, if I were to be awarded a substantial settlement in that lawsuit, I might have to move from my low-income senior housing unit. 

I have been told that B. Braun has cleaned up their emissions, but I wonder how Supreme Court mandated end to some EPA restrictions will prevent other companies from poisoning the air citizens breathe.

Supreme Court vs. EPA

 I am not exactly clear about the Supreme Court decision to strike down an EPA law regarding industry greenhouse emissions. I do not remember polluted Hudson River, but I do recall New York City smog. Richard Nixon was instrumental in forming the Environmental Protection Agency. Presidential Administration continued to create laws to clear the air.

That is until #45 who grew up in that smog infested city was put in charge of the United States of America. Perhaps he was too busy chasing girls to notice the poor air quality during his formative years. And blaming the government for his losing his inheritance chasing one business failure after another. He could do no wrong in his own eyes, so it must have been due to government regulations. 

For instance how dare the government mandate that we rent to blacks ~ their presence in our apartment complex lowered real estate value. He did not like environmentally friendly toilets ~ cost mo' money. Among other things.

So he appoints three Supreme Court Justices who favored business profits over environmental safety. 

And our younger generations future.

6th & 8th Amendment

 The United States Constitution 6th & 8th Amendments provide citizens with the right to speedy & public trials and the right to be free from cruel & unusual punishment.

Does Supreme Court Justice Thomas, et al, not know that? Do they need pocket Constitutions? Or are they simply corrupt?

As stated: A Woman Is A Person. Of course when those Amendments were written, women were not created equal ~ only men, specifically white men. Then that pesky 14th Amendment came along granting personhood to ALL citizens. 

Are women citizens? Sojourner Truth asked, Aint' I a woman? She is among the many who fought for women's suffrage. She did not live to see the passage of the 19th Amendment, recognizing women as citizens who had the right to vote. Obviously, SC Justice Thomas and the others do not consider women to be citizens. 

If they did, they would realize that no state has the right to consign women to cruel & unusual punishment. Nor do they have the right to deny women liberty. 

14th Amendment

The 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution states:

 All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

A woman is a person


Liberty is being able to do as one pleases; freedom, if you will.

Misogynist Justice

Misogynist Supreme Court Justices appointed by #45. First they strip females of liberty regarding their bodies; next up they will strip women and men to prevent pregnancy. In other words there could be more unwanted pregnancies (rape, incest, nonviable) so physicians and women can go to jail.

I am so angry.

Justice Thomas wrote that he wants the court to reexamine precedents on cases dealing with contraception, same-sex marriage and even same-sex sex.

Unpopular Supreme Court

 According to polls the United States Supreme Court is unpopular.

"The aforementioned Quinnipiac poll showed that a mere 34% of voters believed the court is mainly motivated by the law. Most (62%) felt that the Supreme Court is mainly motivated by politics. Four years ago, the split was far more even, with 50% believing the court was mainly motivated by politics and 42% saying it was mainly motivated by the law."

I lost faith in the Supreme Court when Justice Sandra Day O'Connor sided with the grand poobah or the KKK regarding cross burnings. She reasoned that burning crosses was their tradition ~ "
a statement of ideology” or “group solidarity.” She admitted that some cross burnings could be meant to intimidate, but the cross burning on a Virginia couple's lawn could have been done out of anger.

Gee, whiz, that couple was so frightened they moved. That Supreme Court decision overturned a 50-year ban on cross burnings in Virginia. 3 Justices agreed with O'Connor mainly because "they 
viewed the law as content discrimination directed at the Klan." 

Allowing cross burnings discriminates against those being threatened by the Klan. 

There is no justice coming from the Supreme Court. Just pandering to their political party of choice. Too bad citizens can not judge them in the voting booth.

Gun Rights

A Facebook meme showed a woman holding as sign: "I dream of the day women will have the same rights as a gun." Nitpickers mock that, saying "guns do not have rights". Yet a Google search for "gun rights" will bring up results related to "gun rights bills," "gun rights groups or advocates," in addition to right to bear arms.

Guns do have rights to be manufactured and sold and used. 

Women, however do not have the most basic right to life, liberty or pursuit of happiness. It would make most women happy to bear a healthy, wanted baby that they can afford to have. Some women may be happy to carry a dead fetus to term; others less likely willing to do so. 

Yet Supreme Court just decided the Federal laws regarding women's right to choose is now up to states to decide. States like Texas will consign a woman to death, if her abnormal pregnancy is not discovered before 6 weeks ~ which, in most cases the fetal fetus pregnancy will not be. 

Guns have the right to be used to slaughter strangers. Women have no right to using a medical services to save her own life. Disturbing.

Sensible people will know what the sign holder meant: that guns are not as regulated as women's reproductive organs. 

I do not know

 I do not know why some of my posts changed so that some showed white highlights. I tried changing Blog theme which did not fix the problem. I tried to find background color to match the green; close but no cigar as theysay. I do not like Labels being red, thus I have to try a different theme, hoping....

U.S. of A. Constitution forbids cruel & unusual punishment. 

TY Supreme Court for deciding to assign cruel and unusual punishment to women. The woman in this article, and her husband, decided she would continue carrying the fetus, so that they could hold their baby for a few minutes before it died and then bury it.

No woman should be forced to carry a dead fetus or fatal diseased fetus to term. The choice belongs to the woman, not government, men who can not get pregnant and heartless women who side with them. 

Makes me angry that ignorant, uneducated people get to make laws that hurt female citizens.

If this woman began bleeding 16 weeks into her pregnancy and the amniotic sac ruptured causing separation of the placenta, resulting in an incomplete miscarriage ~ in TEXAS (and other states) ~ she might have died due to infection.
What is wrong with people who think a physician that performs a necessary D & C should go to jail for attending properly to his or her patient? Sad for females who will suffer due to unintelligent, unfeeling, unthinking masses who vote for misogynist Republicains.

I can not imagine how one climbs such a bridge. Applaud the man for being concerned about females' rights to make personal choices that affect only themselves.

Molar Pregnancy

I do not care for "abortion rights." Abortion has become a dirty word. Every miscarriage is an aborted pregnancy. I prefer Rise Up 4 Women's Rights, or Rise Up 4 Liberty, Rise Up 4 Equal Rights for Women, or something like that. 

President Obama said it neatly: "no one approves of abortion." He was a thinking man, not one to rule by emotion. He considered what would happen if law required the father's permission to terminate a pregnancy. He did not want doctors to have to choose between saving a woman's life or violating restrictive laws.

What if, he pondered, a woman was in a vehicle accident that required her to be rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. If medical staff could not perform surgery until the father gave consent, the woman (along with fetus) could die.

What if the father was not to be found; or dead in a war; or denied paternity? 

The Supreme Court did not take into consideration all variables as to why a female might choose a doctor assisted early termination of pregnancies. President Obama was denied the right to choose a (right thinking) Supreme Court Justice. Those who denied him the right, were glad to bestow the right onto corrupt, con man #45. 

Today I read that #45 Junior claims that his papa was responsible for Supreme Court decision to set back women's rights 50 years ~ due to Obama poking fun of him for Birther Conspiracy. People liked to claim #45 was not a misogynist. Seeing as he got to appoint 3 SC justices, easy to see that he is.





Ectopic pregnancy

 A friend really wanted to have a baby. When she finally became pregnant, it was discovered that the embryo was planted in her womb. A doctor tried to save the pregnancy by moving the embryo to the womb where it belonged. This resulted in a miscarriage. 

Sadly it happened a second time.

Under Texas (and other state) law, the physician could go to jail for performing the surgery. Highly unlikely that the abnormal pregnancy would be discovered prior to the 6 week ban on early termination of pregnancies, ie: abortion.

Most often ectopic pregnancies abort themselves. If the embryo is allowed to grow into fetus size, it could result in death of both mother and fetus.

I was pregnant 3 times and gave birth to 3 babies. I am 100% for a woman's right to choose what to do with her pregnancy. It is no one's business except her own what she does. Her life is 100% more important than "potential life."
