Trump new low

 Trump has been calling people ever since he ran full page ads calling The Central Park 5 animals. I do not remember the ad, but I remember news headlines shouting the word. The worst part of Trump sinking to a new low by calling an 82-year-old woman an animal, after her husband was brutally attacked, is that it is reported that his crowd cheered. Reading comments there were lots of people also applauding his words. "She is an animal," "No, she is a snake." 

Many ranted that we needed to respect Trump. Some said, he has to earn respect. I could never respect him or anyone who supported him.  Respect the position, they said. Did he ever respect the position of Senators, Governors, Mayors, First Ladies, Presidents? No and no and no again. He did not respect POW of war, Gold Star families, disabled, and more. 

That so many agree with him is a sorry, sad, state of the Union. Their hatred lead by him, is what fueled the attack on Paul Pelosi. And they think he is a savior, second only to Jesus? Puke.

Anyway thanks to reading comments, I now know that they accuse Nancy of Insider Trading. I did not find any evidence that she was found guilty of alleged crime. 

Also the haters ranted about a Bullet Train. Accused her husband of getting construction contracts making him rich. The peeps questioned how she could be worth millions on a public servant salary. All I found was how much her investments earned her. How did she invest in real estate, for instance?  Did she buy stocks, did she buy/sell real estate? 

If she did use her position for private gain, she is no worse than Trump who abused his position for private gain.  No one calls him an animal for his multiple violations of ethic laws.  He is not an animal because he bragged that he does not pay taxes. 

I did not find any info as to how much Federal Income Tax she has paid. Or was she smart  like Trump, using loopholes to end up with zero tax owed?

I did learn she & husband have a Charitable organization. Income tax shelter or actually chariable? The organization tax forms are available to view online, a Open Secrets. I did not scroll too far reading down the list of donations to different organizations. Performing Arts Ballet, Latino Heritage...

...will check it out later. Trump, too has a "charitable" organization. 

Nancy Pelosi

 Why ever would young punks want to kill Nancy Pelosi? 

She is now 82-years-old. Macho, macho men wanted to murder an old lady. After Jan. 6th,  I was in a FB conversation with a nephew and my sister. She claimed it was Antifa that staged the attack on the Capitol Building ~ a bus load brought them. Jordan rebuffed that. Sister seemed to think the crowd was justified in wanting to kill Nancy.

At the time I did not know Nancy's age. I asked sister dearest hated Nancy. "Well,  don't you remember she tore up his speech?" Omigod. Death sentence justified for ripping up an event program? I did not pay much attention to that incident, other than think: you go, Nancy! Sis could not come up with any other reason for her hatred of Nancy.

A long time friend said she can not stand to listen to Nancy's voice. And, they should get over it. Jan. 6th, 2021. In and out of apartment to do laundry, I saw Nancy giving first interview since her husband's attack. I did not watch of it. I can understand why friend hated her voice. Soft spoken, but sounded like an old lady to me. Which prompted me to search Nancy. 

No wonder she sounds like an old lady, she is. Get over an attack on Government; "Hang Mike Pence,  Kill Nancy Pelosi." Citizens attacking guards with flag poles? Breaking windows, climbing in through them, sitting at Nancy's deak, rifling through papers, spreading feces on walls? 

I continued searching. People often rant about Nancy's wrong doing. What was it? I could not find any wrong that she alleged did. Other than a "scandal" she did not wear a mask in a beauty salon. Oh, yeah, I vaguely recall that uproar. How do they expect a woman to get her long hair washed with a facemask on? So she walks from sink to chair, maskless? Who cares. 

Can anyone tell me what her big crime was? I know legitimate shady things Hillary Clinton actually did. Not the MAGA Trump QAnon lies. I think the Proud Boys and other women-haters hate Nancy because she is a strong woman. Trump, of course, can not tolerate strong women. Jealous, I suppose.

Violence Against Women Act

 An old article about the Violence Against Women Act states that Republicans voted against it, because it added new firearms restrictions for persons guilty of domestic violence and also added protections for transgender and same sex couples.

Violence is violence so why would they care if the VAGA included other victims of domestic violence. I was surprised to see Liz Cheney on the list of  Republicans who voted against it. Not surprised that Marjorie Taylor Greene voted nay. She is cozy with Trump who supports violence.

Right now the GOP is targeting one group ~ females ~ liberty for men, not for women? Women can not claim any abuse, they must show proof of abuse. You know the black eyes, broken arms, choke marks on necks. An abused man could likewise press charges against abuse from domestic partner.

I have a brother who could be called "hen pecked," but his wife is not physically abusive. The many, many couples I personally know or have known bicker & argue, but no physical abuse. The ones who have been physically and verbally abused are all women, one abused by a female lover, the rest were abused by husbands.

The "especially for black men" sounds like another stereotype. I believe we are all humans, violence not limited to one ethnic group over another. The exception would be patriarchal societies. Even in the U.S. rule of thumb gave husbands the right to beat their wives.

It is easy to see they are only pro-life if it means taking away women's right to liberty. It is also to see how Donny's words incite violence. Any true patriotic politician would loudly condemn and ostracize Trump.Instead they push his stolen election lie. 

Recently watched part of a show about militia groups who are training for civil war should trump get indicted for his crimes. I guess justice department is terrified of havoc that would ensue by upholding the law.Those that want a civil war would disrupt life of all, due to loyalty to a sham artist. Sad.

I recently said that Mastriano would condemn women to death. Author of the opinion piece, Pat Brothwell, expressed it better than myself.

 Woke from a dream. Eyes closed I started replying to comments. The comments were short, in a row. I assume they were posted under a news article.

A: Fetterman banned pesticides. 

B: Fetterman's ban on tree pesticides will mean orange toilet paper.

C: Oz is life affirming. 

Too much time has passed to remember all the comments. Pro Fetterman, anti-Fetterman. Pro Oz, anti OZ. C above is the one that angered enough so that I wanted to sign in to leave my scathing reply to C.

Life affirming?!!! OZ wants to kill women. Life time prison terms; death penalty for doctors.  Truly I do not know if he said that; Mastriano did. 

I amend my comment: allow women who have pregnancy complications to die. Mastriano and Oz think if you kill a fertilized egg, a blastocyst that has not yet attached to uterine wall, you are guilty of murder. What a tangled web they weave if they get elected. 

A woman whose doctor assists on a pregnancy that aborted itself will need to prove it was not intentional? Already a woman was arrested when a nurse reported her for self-abortion. The charges were later dropped. Why do females need to be subjected to court to prove innocence? 

Makes me sick. No wonder why I had trouble going back to sleep.

Well, duh, that new senator or governor is going to be around longer than 3 or 4 days. They let Bush and Trump appoint a Supreme Court justice, but not President Obama. The GOP wanted to stack the court against Roe v Wade and succeeded. Now they are trying to stack Congress with anti Medicare/SS types. 

And the arse spews more propaganda saying Democrats are playing games? Yeah, there may be people dumb enough to give bank info to pay a fee to collect the Mega Million Lottery they won. Even if they did not buy a ticket. 

3AM

 Actually I am not sure what time it is. Billboard watch did not reset itself. New phone; did not add app; not sure what the Billboard App is. Might have to get used not knowing what time it is. Does anyone really know what time it is? Is that a song? Um...

...so the computer, smart phone, Kindle all reset themselves to different times. I set the microwave to the computer time. Time only matters if I have an appointment. 

3AM is usually when I wake up; Unable to fall back to sleep. I used to play endless games of Freecell or Spider Solitaire. Then Windows 10 took the games away from computer. I do not like the newer versions.Any attempt to download the originals has failed. Easily distracted from my goals.

Came to blog to record a dream I had just before I woke up. 

Friday night was the first time in a long time I only woke once during the night to empty bladder. Fell back to sleep easily. Did not wake up again until 8:30 AM. Daughter picking me up at 9:30 to go get my hair cut. Tonight too hot.

Ah, this post belongs on Homeless in Long Beach blog. Wear hat and hooded sweatshirt to sleep. Fear more bedbug bites. Want o cover up as much skin as possible. Should get out a sheet rather than use a blanket. I can not sleep unless I am covered up. Will shut up now. 2:10AM by computer time. Last night would have been 3 AM +10 minutes. : > 😎

How dumb do they think people are? Any that play it will know they won by checking their tickets. And also if they did not get all the numbers. They should know better than to give out bank info to pay the fee,

I admire the woman who raised her twin daughters ~ two heads in one body. I admire they grew up to become teachers. Grosses me out. Two distrubing to be in a classroom with two headed teacher. Did they teach the same subjects? Take turns talking? Or did one stay silent in the other's classes? I admire parents that raised a baby born with no limbs. She grew up to become a psychiatrist. She could do most things without help except for getting out of bed. (I suppose the same would be for bathing, she used pen-like thing held in her mouth to operate wheel chair, and other things. She did not gross me out. I thought her too heavy for me to pick up, so declined the job. I admire parents who raise disabled babies and children. They did not have such testing when I was pregnant. I worried the entire 9 months, during the first one, wondering if my baby would be born healthy. I do not remember worrying so much with the other two. Maybe I had more pressing problems than to spend worrying about my future newborn's health. All three were healthy.

I do not know that I had it in me to raise a baby with 1/2 a brain or 1/2 a lung or no limbs. Who would have paid for the multiple operations needed to keep a baby with defective heart alive? Not my husband for sure, he barely provided for his wife, one, two, three children. St. Jude's Children's Hospital?

KathleenG, the others like her, the Rigid Religious Right, the pastors, ministers, priests, politicians are not offering to take in the disabled babies. Nor are they offering financial aid to the parents. How many carseats do today's families need to buy. Three different sizes? I would never have been able to afford them when my babies were born.

CHOICE! Let the mother have choice. Liberty. She knows she is unable to care for, to afford extra medical expenses, what do these forced birth people advice? Give the defective infant up for adoption? Good luck with that.

Most parents wishing to adopt want infants, healthy infants. Used to be healthy white babies. Black boy babies were the least adopted. Some will settle for adopting older toddlers; the older the child becomes the less likely they are to become adopted.

In order to adopt an infant that requires multiple surgeries, the future parents need to have enough money. And enough time for caregiving or to pay for quality round the clock caregivers.

KathleenG's friend was to have been born dead, but was just "developmentally ill." (I think she meant disabled?.) 67 years ago the friend's mother would have had no choice but to give birth. Her Mother might have loved the baby unconditionally. I know mothers of autistic children who have problems loving them unconditionally.

I also know parents who beat their children for minor infractions. Can not imagine them caring for a disabled baby/child/young adult. Some have been arrested after locking disabled children in cages and otherwise abusing them. CHOICE! CHOICE! CHOICE!

Doctors are fully aware that an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion, and state law has similarly recognized it. (The fertilized egg is in the Fallopian Tube, not the uterus fyi It cannot get nutrients etc.)

Doctors still might have been able to help the baby. So many people are told the baby will not have a good quality of life so kill the bab Often, a baby diesinutero if its life cannot be sustained. I fear people will kill babies in the 8th and 9 months and upon birth because its allowed, not because it is really needed. My 67 year old friend was supposed to be brain- dead basically, but the doctor's were wrong. Yes, she has hydrocephalus her whole life and she worked 10 hrs per week at a school for developmentally ill children. She is lovely and she said today, they would end her life in utero. She smiles and says, "Surprise! I may have struggles, but life is from God."

Mastraino says all abortions are murder, life begins at conception. Just because doctors do not consider ectopic pregnancy to be abortion, Mastriano and Oz and other politicians and religious leaders do. They are no exceptions. I wonder what state she is referring to? Mastriano promises ban on all abortions.So if a woman's ectopic pregnancy aborts itself where is the exception? 

Already women have had to leave their home state to get treated for miscarriages, Where is the exception? Maybe those woman had miscarriages due to doc trying to transplant the blastocyst or embryo?.Will attending doctor have to report that a pregnancy terminated? Is that not considered aborted? 

Why do physicians have to report abortions in the first place? Does not that violate HIPPA?

An Arizona judge is allowing armed guards at drop boxes. Is not armed guards voter intimidation. That is just wrong. Are Democrats putting armed guards outside of drop boxes and polling places? Campaign Promises not fulfilled are not lies; they are intentions. Years ago I read a well-researched article stating that most Presidential campaign promises are met.  They were listed: Clinton promised this, Bush promised that, and so on. 

A lie is claiming President Obama was not born in the U.S. of A. Saying there was massive election fraud is a lie. It was proven a lie over and over again. Yet those fools commenting on the short video clip believe him, and not the truthful Obama. 

I am so downhearted. How do we save America from that?

Democracy vs Republic

 Too bad no one reads my blogs. Someone would comment: we are not a Democracy, we are a Republic. Others would reply, we are a Democratic Republic. Or something like that. I opt for democracy, a government of, for and by the people. 

Others will say we are a capitalist country or socialist democracy. The definitions of both words show little difference. I think of democracy as freedom, and republic as ruled. We are a bit of both. 

Democratic might also be related to unbiased; which movie shall we go to, a show of hands, please. 

Before this constant bickering over Democracy vs Republic, I viewed republic as meaning a country. In the same manner when I was in elementary school and learned "all men are created equal," I thought "men" meant "human beings."

Oh me. Older I realized they did mean men. White men. Not natives on the land, not women (or little naive girls,) or slaves. I understand the concept but we are not created equal. Some, born without limbs, twins joined at heads or two heads on one body. If you are born to wealthy parents you are less equal to one born in poverty.

If you have two intelligent parents, you will likely be created more intelligent than a child born of less intelligent parents. And so on.

Michelle Park Steel's name was on some of those GOP drop boxes. State said they are illegal; drop boxes are monitored and regulated. 

Michelle Park Steel's political campaign ads attack opponent Jay Chen of being a China operative, indoctrinating U.S. school children in Communism. He teaches Chinese language.

Do GOP voters think if a school teaches Italian they are recruiting fascists? Or if they teach German they are training students to become Nazi's? If a teacher teaches Spanish they are advocating fascism?

She is pandering to White Nationalist racists and other assorted bigots. DJT talked about draining the swamp? She and his other trump pets need to be drained. 

These candidates are a reflection of who we have become. They believe there are red states, blue states, not a United States of America. 

The audacity to have a biracial brown skinned president. GOP will stoop to no low to win elections. Republican voters want to destroy democracy.

Orange County is GOP or at least that was the impression I got after the 2016 election. But there could have been fraud involved due to use of these non-official drop boxes placed by GOP. 

I have said for years that DJT is guilty of the things he accuses other of doing.  Stolen election charges because he knew GOP cheated to give him the win? 

GOP says the drop boxes they place are legal, because of a law in CA that others can drop off ballots for them. Like my daughter being able to place my mail-in ballot in a drop box. She could have if I waited until election day, but I can only imagine the line to get inside the building to drop it off myself. So I mailed it.

I am sure that is what the CA law intends. Not having a GOP drop box placed in front of a black church, then picking the ballots. As they say, one needs not be a rocket scientist...

Slow but sure

 The Handmaid's Tale: Gilead took over the United States, forcing fertile woman to bear children with men whose wives were not able to conceive.  For a variety of reasons ~ pesticides, industrial waste, polluting water supplies, the air, caused more deformed babies and miscarriages. Birth rates were also down due to abortions. Non white population was overtaking white population. They could not let that happen.

Blacks were either shipped back to Africa or sent to work in agriculture ~ the fields. Photos were shown of Jewish people, smiling, happy, aboard ships being sent to Hebrew counties, like Israel. Rumor had it, after photo op, they were drowned at sea.  Likely non-white citizens were also drowned at sea. 

I am slow but sure. GOP and DJT are for White Nationalists. Whites scream that the U.S. white population is being overrun by minorities. There fear is becoming a minority themselves. Oh, if only!

Thus, like the book's Gilead, the GOP hopes to force white births by banning abortions. I have been saying they are ignorant. They do not know anything about non-viable pregnancies. Maybe they are just misogynists.  

Some complain that allowing abortions is the government's way of reducing black population. It can not be both ways. If one goes state by state, one sees a whole lot more white abortions than black. Now I am confused. Are the white men discriminating against minorities by banning doctor assisted abortions?

Yes, some women politicians, are also anti female liberty. I fear for democracy if these election deniers, trump pets win elections. Especially Mastriano and Oz and Ron Johnson and Michelle Steel to name a few.

The Handmaid's Tales

 I may have read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood many years ago. My non-reading daughter asked me if I ever read it. As soon as it was announced that Roe v Wade was overturned, my reader daughter mentioned the book. She talked about at other times as well. After Roe v Wade went bye,bye, women protested, dressing as handmaids as depicted int he novel. I did not know there was a movie and TV show. 

Aside: my cable box died. Guy installed new one and gave me a new remote. Instead of two, I now have one. I wanted to see if I lost NetFlix and Amazon Prime my son-in-law set up on the TV. I could not get the remote to move along the row of options. I did something and got stuck on channel 50, remote not doing anything. Enough. Suffice it to say, I was not able to watch TV unless I wanted to watch channel 50. 

I put batteries in my Samsung remote. After much frustration, my TV was back to normal. Except the remote still would not navigate to NetFlix. Too late, I resigned myself to channel surfing until bedtime. I now have Amazon Prime, and wanted to set up my own account. Maybe I will try later with my Samsung remote. Or ask son-in-law to help.

Bottom line, was not able to watch the show. Do not know if I really want to. The series, I read, deviates form the novel a bit. The sequel, The Testament, has a two week waiting list at my library on Kindle. The autobook was available but I do not do audio books. I tried to put a hold on it, but Kindle kept telling my e-mails did not match.You have to enter it twice. Aargh, no difference.erased and started over, "do not match," slowly read and read again each letter and said duck this shit.

Retracted underwear lie.

 KTVU-TV, a Fox News affiliate in Oakland, reported that DePape was wearing only his underwear when he attacked Paul Pelosi. They later retracted that statement. 

DePape was arrested wearing shorts. I know I had read that about the underwear, but never found an article that referenced it. Now I know why.

Lock mentioned in a prior post was one of those commenters that insisted that DePape was a called prostitute.  The underwear story will probably be around and believed for years to come.

CNN Opinion

 Some people who comment take opinion articles (or opinionated talk show hosts) as news. 

This CNN opinion article includes news. I have already read about President Obama's speeches at campaign rallies. Several weeks ago I had a knock on my door from campaigners. I wondered who let them in the building. They asked if I was registered to vote, what my most important voting issue for me.

Roe v. Wade I likely shouted. They were probably sorry they asked, inching away from door to talk to the next person. They did learn that I was an Independent, that I might as well change to Democrat because I will never choose a GOP candidate ever again. I stopped voting for them years ago due to their now realized desire to overturn Roe v Wade. 

Polls show that voters biggest concern is Inflation. I am guessing those polls are factual, due to my habit of reading comments on articles. But I am with Obama. Do you want freedom? First they came for women's rights, then they came for transgenders, then lesbians and homosexuals...

...now is not a good time to be reading The Handmaid Tale. Do not know if I read it previously; I got to the part at the Wall, abortion doctors hanging by hooks. I am at the part describing how things happened. "Machine gunned Congress." Oh, my, Capitol Building riot instigated by the sitting president. 

Barrack asks: Who will fight for your freedom? I already know that the trumpets will say The Don. The guy who wants a family dynasty ruling much like what  the colonists revolted against. I want to cry. I guess I can save my tears for mid term election results. Especially here in Pennsylvania. How I wish I was physically able to go back to Long Beach. 

I was wondering where the wheelchair brigade spends their nights now that the library was torn down. Oops wrong blog for that one. The Senate candidate is anti-female liberty. Willpower

 It is taking all my willpower not to sign in to Like or Dislike or to comment on outrageous comments on that Elon Musk/Twitter article.

A poster has no idea who Q anon is. Yet he is an authority on facts. Someone called him on it: either you are lying or out-of-touch. Admitting not knowing makes him look stupid. His belief in the Paul P. conspiracy theories puts him on the stupid side anyway.

Some one who uses Lock as their moniker claims to be an Independent. His posts mark him as a Q follower. Um, my son once told me he did not believe man landed on the moon; a hoax; he gave me reasons. I looked into it online. LOL  his reasons came straight from a conspiracy site. And I still find assassination of JFK suspect. I was never convinced that 911 was not an inside job. We are both Independents. I never asked, just suspect Libertarian. I lean Green.

I guess I am judging Lock too harshly. Nah. I will not go searching the rest of his comments.

Oh to answer your question, about the same time the liberal left Lap Dog media decided that the only narrative to the news was their side and stopped reporting FACTS about what "actually happens"!! This is what you get when you have "bias" for ONE party over another...funny thing is most of these so called "conspiracy theories" end up later becoming true!!! And recalling what my late father said to me as a child, "Never believe the things you hear and only half of what you see!"!!! And trust me the Democrats STILL think the media is all for them, but new sources of news ARE coming to light, and they paint a very different picture!!! Basically the internet HAS allowed folks like never before, and what the media might tell you on the national stage, is usually pretty different in the home town of those of us who "live here"!!! Example, locally to me, I live in a town that was voted "Coolest Small Town in America" by a media outlet.....reality is, it is a small town, filled with drug addicts, and zero job opportunities!! Does that sound cool to you? But I live here because it is cheap.....and if I was able to work (I am disabled) I could find a job 40 miles away pretty easy enough!!

I recall when internet news started reporting that home foreclosures were up under G. W. Bush. Locally I started seeing foreclosure signs in my city showing up at the end of Clinton's terms of office. Some truth to his statement on local vs. national news. His father said? Oh my that is well-known quote. Do not believe everything you read, nothing that you hear, and only 1/2 of what you see. I used "I am from Missouri, the show me state," about trust. I am not from Missouri.
